Laurie Wallmark is a dedicated author of children's literature with a Master of Fine Arts in writing for children and young adults. She has degrees in biochemistry and information systems, along with experience as a software engineer and professor. Wallmark focuses on telling the stories of remarkable women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Noteworthy titles include Ada Byron Lovelace & the Thinking Machine, Grace Hopper: Queen of Computer Code, and The Queen of Chess: How Judit Polgar Changed the Game. Laurie regularly presents at educational conferences and leads workshops focused on writing and STEM education.
